This notice covers the public 5500RADAR website and the 5500RADAR application. It does not change the privacy practices of third-party sites linked from the service.
Information we process
Public filing information
5500RADAR indexes U.S. Department of Labor and EBSA Form 5500 disclosure data and filed attachments. That public record can include plan, sponsor, service-provider and accountant information. It is not supplied to us through sponsor payroll, census, beneficiary or participant-account feeds.
Information you provide
The public access form collects your name, work email, organization, role and the business question you want to answer. The submission is stored in a restricted platform-operator queue so we can review and respond; it does not create an account. If you later use the application, we process the account and organization information needed to authenticate you and provide the service. Please do not send Social Security numbers; participant-level census, payroll, beneficiary, health or account data; confidential client lists; or other sensitive personal information through an access request.
Technical information
Our hosting and security systems may process standard request information such as IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps and security events. The access form uses a short-lived abuse-prevention counter derived from the request address; the raw address is not stored in the access-request record. The public marketing site does not use advertising trackers. The application uses strictly necessary authentication and session technologies.
Audit-screen inputs
The public audit screen runs in your browser. Its participant count and selections are not submitted to 5500RADAR by the calculator.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain and improve the website and application.
- Respond to access requests, support questions and service communications.
- Connect public filings across years and make source-linked plan information searchable.
- Detect abuse, investigate incidents and meet legal obligations.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including service delivery, security, recordkeeping and legal compliance. Public filing history may be retained to preserve year-over-year analysis. We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct or delete contact or account information, subject to legal and operational limits. You can also stop non-required communications by replying to the message. Rights vary by jurisdiction; contact us and we will evaluate the request under applicable law. Requests to change a public Form 5500 filing should be directed to the filer or the responsible government system.
Children and changes
5500RADAR is a professional service and is not directed to children. We may update this notice as the service develops. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
